FSE Sponsors Innovative IN KEEPING Exhibition in Chelmsford This February

In keeping with our passion for supporting start-ups that promote culture and collaboration in the community, Freelance SEO Essex is proud to be sponsoring an exciting art exhibition that will be running from 14-26 February at the Ale House, Chelmsford.

Happen Hosts limited edition exhibition beermatsIN KEEPING is to be launched by Happen Hosts, a new art collective founded to make things happen in Chelmsford and add a voice to the growing art community in Essex. Featuring the talents of 10 local artists and illustrators, IN KEEPING is the first of its kind in Chelmsford – an exhibition that’s curated by artists for artists, yet also encourages the average punter and commuter to get involved.

The initiative will kick off with an opening night on 13th February, and Happen Hosts will be running a series of events throughout the course of the exhibition:

  • Drink & Draw – Monday 16th February.
  • Pub Quiz – Sunday 22nd February.
  • The Artist’s Round: Exhibition Talk – Date TBC.

Here’s what co-curator James Torble had to say about the event:

“We don’t believe that art can only happen in the confines of a gallery. That’s why we’ve teamed up with The Ale House, to catch the crowd sipping their evening pint and bring art to them. With burgeoning locals and hand-picked contributors from every stretch of England, ‘IN KEEPING’ aims to promote new discussions in amongst your favourite pub chat.”

Want to see what it’s all about? Here’s another incentive – Happen Hosts are giving out handcrafted, original recipe ‘cockt-ales’ on the launch night to those who sign up to the mailing list. Keep your eyes peeled on Twitter (@happenhosts) for more information! You can also take a look at Happen Hosts’ Tumblr account for a sneak peek at preparations and the artists’ work in the run-up to the exhibition.
