Royal Princes Use Google Hangouts To Help Launch Brand New Youth Awards Scheme

Princes William and Harry made history earlier this week by becoming the first ever royals to take part in a Google Hangout.

The webcast was set up to help launch a brand new awards initiative, the Queen’s Young Leaders Programme, which over the course of the next four years will recognise the achievements of inspiring young people aged 18 to 29 in all 53 Commonwealth countries.

The Duke of Cambridge and his younger brother sat down for a 16-minute virtual question and answer session with five young leaders on Wednesday, taking selfies and dishing out inspirational advice to the leaders and entrepreneurs of tomorrow. The webinar was broadcast live from Buckingham Palace, where organisers have set up a dedicated ‘social media hub’ to help raise awareness of the Young Leaders scheme.
